Eventide is part of a candle holder series that explores the possibilities of the archetypal dinner stick candle. It’s the result of a series of experimentation on making a candle burn horitontaly. A small pool of wax forms around the wick to make it burn slowly and it slides along while the candle burns.

The word eventide is an old english word that means « end of the day ». It reffers to the flame that burns along the horizontal line that can be associated with the sun setting on the horizon.
